Two people have been comfirmed dead and one critically injured at Rwabwingi B Cell Buhunga Sub County Rukungiri.
The double murder emanated from the killing of Enid Ahumuza 56 years of age a shop attendant who was allegedly attacked and cut by Phillip Tumuramye using a panga.
Kigezi region Police Spokesman Elly Maate says Enid Ahumuza who was sleeping in her shop made an alarm which attracted her son Rogers Muramuzi and during the scuffle, Muramuzi was also cut by the assailant which attracted the neighbours who pounced on Phillip Tumuramye and killed him as well.
Enid and her son were rushed for medical attention at Nyakibare Hospital but upon arrival Enid was pronounced dead.
