Police in Kanungu registered a fatal accident where a boda boda rider lost his life
The boda boda man only known as Arineitwe 26years of age is a resident of Karukondo village Nyakashure parish Nyamirama sub county Kanungu district.
The evening accident occurred on the 07/09/2023 at Nyamirama township along Kihihi Rukungiri road, and involved motor vehicle reg no UBH433N Fuso lorry white in color and motor cycle reg no UFU189Q bajaj boxer red in color.
Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly Maate has attributes this accident to over speeding by the lorry driver who rammed into a boda boda rider who was crossing the road from one side to another.
Police was alerted, visited the scene, body was taken to Kihihi health centre IV for postmortem and both motorvehicel and motorcycle parked at Nyamirama police post pending IOV inspection.
