The territorial police in in Kabale have arrested a 45-year old instructor for alleged defilement of his 13-year-old pupil.
The suspect has been identified by the police as Samantha Muyeghe a tailoring instructor
at Kamirongo Child Development Center.
Resident of Nyakahita village, Kigata parish in Kyanamira sub county, Kabale district, Muyeghe allegedly lured the girl with a Shs. 2000 note.
“On August 8, 2024 during the 10:30 am break, the suspect saw the victim in school compound and lured her to the church gallery that he was going to repair her torn uniform. He gave her shs 2000= UGX, pulled her up and removed her nickers, forced her into sexual intercourse within Kamironko church gallery,” Kigezi Region police spokesperson Elly Maate told The Eye Media Tuesday August 13, 2024 evening.
After the act, the suspect pretended like he was receiving a phone call as he moved out the church gallery, leaving the girl laid naked.
“She then put on her knickers and ran up to her father where she narrated the whole story.
The father reported at Maziba police station and the suspect was accordingly arrested and now detained at CPS Kabale.
This publication has established that this particular instructor has previously attempted to defile this same girl before.
