KAMPALA – The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has released the list of successful applicants shortlisted for the next stage of the 2026 general recruitment exercise.
The shortlisted candidates can now check their names on the official UPDF website as well as on notice boards at their respective city and district headquarters.
The successful applicants will proceed to the physical recruitment exercise, which is scheduled to take place in their respective districts between July 20 and August 1, 2026.
The UPDF has reminded applicants that recruitment is free of charge and warned the public against fraudsters demanding money in exchange for recruitment opportunities. Candidates found presenting forged documents will face arrest and prosecution.
Applicants are encouraged to verify their names only through the official UPDF recruitment channels.
