KAMPALA – Ugandan singer Spice Diana has stirred fresh debate after responding to criticism over claims that she is romantically involved with a married man, insisting that no one has the right to dictate whom she should love or marry.
The “Siri Regular” hitmaker dismissed the criticism during an interview, arguing that people should stop judging her personal choices and accept the realities of modern relationships.
“People who say I’m dating a married man should tell me where I can find a virgin man,” Spice Diana said.
The singer maintained that when the time comes for her to settle down, she is free to choose any partner she wants, regardless of his relationship history.
She argued that almost everyone has a past, making it unrealistic for people to expect someone to find a partner with no previous romantic attachments.
“People have been dating, and it means I have also had people from the past. I can decide to keep them and add another one. I’m just giving an example, and this is a reality,” she explained.
Spice Diana further claimed that many women are already aware that their partners may have other relationships, even if those relationships are never openly discussed.
“Even the man you have, you just know he has some others out there, but he just doesn’t tell you. In your mind, give yourself a number and be at peace,” she remarked.
The singer also revealed that she cannot completely rule out the possibility of marrying a man who already has another wife, saying life is unpredictable and she prefers not to make promises she may later fail to keep.
Her remarks have since sparked heated reactions on social media, with some netizens applauding her honesty while others criticised her comments, arguing that they appear to endorse relationships involving married partners.
The outspoken singer has often found herself at the centre of speculation over her love life but has consistently insisted that her personal relationships remain her own choice.
