A 61-year-old man is nursing serious injuries after his wife and her alleged lover reportedly assaulted him when he found them together in his marital bed.
On Sunday night, August 30, 2026, Zadokyi Mukobe returned to his home in Kalamoya Village, Buwenge Town Council, after an evening social gathering with friends.
Residents allege that Mukobe found his wife, identified only as Norah, in bed with another man identified as Brian Mawerere.
A confrontation reportedly followed, during which Norah and Mawerere allegedly turned against Mukobe and severely assaulted him.
Mukobe was rushed to Buwenge Health Centre IV, where he remained admitted by Monday afternoon.
Ssematimba Clovis, a freelance journalist in Buwenge, reported that Mukobe was taken to the health facility in poor condition with injuries, including around the throat.
Residents further allege that Mukobe became Norah’s husband following the death of her former husband. The couple has reportedly been living in the home where she lived during her previous marriage.
Eye Media Uganda could not independently verify the allegations against Norah and Mawerere, and their responses were not immediately available.
It was also not immediately established whether police had arrested any suspects or opened a case over the alleged assault.
