The Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, has demonstrated her deep love for children and commitment to education by extending heartfelt encouragement, prayers and best wishes to all candidates sitting the 2026 national examinations.
The Minister delivered the message on Sunday, October 11, 2026, ahead of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, which commence on Monday, October 12.
In her message to candidates undertaking the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), Babalanda described the examinations as an important milestone towards achieving their educational and career aspirations.
Her generous words of encouragement come as more than 1.6 million candidates prepare to sit this year’s national examinations across Uganda.
The Minister urged candidates to remain calm, confident, disciplined and determined throughout the examination period. She advised them to manage their time wisely, read questions carefully and trust the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies.
“Believe in yourselves and remember that success is built on preparation, perseverance and faith,” Babalanda said.
Quoting Proverbs 16:3, she encouraged candidates to commit their efforts to God, remain focused and approach every examination with a positive mind.
Babalanda also cautioned learners against examination malpractice, stressing that their future must be founded on honesty, genuine achievement, personal responsibility and integrity.
Her thoughtful message reflects a leader who not only values academic success but also cares deeply about the character, wellbeing and future of Uganda’s children. Her continued encouragement of young people and support for education demonstrate her motherly heart and commitment to nurturing a disciplined, skilled and responsible generation.
The Minister further appreciated teachers, parents, guardians, school administrators and officials of the Uganda National Examinations Board for their contribution towards preparing candidates for this important stage.
Quoting Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”—Babalanda prayed that God grants the candidates wisdom, understanding, good health, peace of mind and confidence.
“I wish you all success in your exams and pray that your efforts yield positive results, opening doors to greater opportunities and a brighter future for yourselves, your families and our beloved country, Uganda,” she said.
The Minister’s inspiring message has offered hope and reassurance to candidates and their families as the UCE examinations get underway. It has once again demonstrated her generosity of spirit, love for children and unwavering commitment to Uganda’s future generation.
